Just for a change of pace? A normal blogg...

It's odd really... and probably it is odder for Flidget since she actually /likes/ school... but that's another story. It's odd to sit here and pat hands and go 'there there' as most/all of you face the perils of finals week. So I guess this is my random thumbs-up to everyone, including Ann who has kicked butt and taken names on her profeciency test ^_^. I should find Twig the one paper I once wrote during my singularly bizarre scottish pop-culture class... (It was /supposed/ to be an Arguement and Interpretation class, but my teacher was obsessed). I remember that class... not fondly at all... ^^

Ne, Wind-chan you take driver's ed through the school? Or through private place? You mentioned 'pay' so I was curious... I vaguely recall my HS offering Driver's Ed as a summerschool class... which a friend took, but I think I said 'the hell with it' and paid 10$ a lesson to have an instructor take me out for a half-hour at a time... It only took 4 lessons so I guess it was as cost effective as anything... Well and I was practicing in Mom's subaru on the side. (I tried driving dad's Trooper... but those things handle like an M-5 tank.) I like cars, they go beep-beep and hve wheels. By that definition, I'd also like a microwave if it was on a self-propelled serving-cart.

Mmmmmm tv-dinner on the hoof...

And no *twitch* I'm not obsessed with Suikoden... No *twitch* not at all... so what if those text-games are arriving *twitch* this friday *twitch* I'll just have to *twitch* finish stuff before then.

".... And then... she ran over a matress"

I shit you not, truth is /always/ odder than fiction... So today was an odd day... I wrote two webpages, finished beta-ing a textbook, helped three customers including my "new-favorite-person-Howard" who had the grace to not only be a super-nice customer... but he laughed at my jokes too. Shocking. I also... oh, talked to my ex-boss, wrote a self-evaluation, kissed a Frenchman goodbye... and had a pitched battle with Konami.com's website. And all of this happened before 7pm... not bad ehh? But wait, there's more... I saw the last episode of Black Heaven, and Lo' it was good... and on the way home... I ran over a matress. It was sitting in the middle of the highway.

Well ok... I only ran over a corner... and that was after slamming the breaks and diving out of the way... and the matress had pretty much been reduced to stuffing anyway... but still... A MATRESS... In the highway... at midnight... sounds like some sort of Twilight Zone reference to me. I wonder what I did in a past life to make this one so very ODD.

The world may never know.

... and on this note... I go to bed. Thankyou.

As I type this, I want you to know, my fingers are in shangrila...

Having to relearn a touch pad is a pain, the learning curve on windows XP is also a trip... Currently I'll be content if I can just figure out how to turn the brightness down... But atleast the keyboard is a dream come true... oh how these little keys glide beneath my fingers. And yes, the first thing I did was figure out how to get rid of the heinously blue-M&M looking window theme XP decided to set as my default. Call me simple, but I much prefer classic windows gray to this bubble-looking nonsense...

So yes, I have AIM installed now, and the network seems to be behaving... not to download the first set of critical zip files... drafts and such... and we are green!

Where the hell is the brightness control!?

Twig has her Flan, I've finnished Suikoden1... and My cat will do Tricks for beef.

Let the Holiday Gift Giving Commence! Wheee so it seems everybody is sending people things lately... me included... and I even have my christmas gifts all picked out for the family and such... I feel so organized.

I also splurged in a bit of post thanksgiving shopping... and now am the proud owner of a VAIO laptop... It was shiny... and silver... and on sale for 400$ less then on the web... Once I get the files transfered, I will be a happy happy lassie. But what shall I do with the Piece of Shit laptop you ask? ... Hard to say... it's almost not worth anything even as parts. The screen's still good... except for the crack in the casing, but the motherboard has issues and it looses time like a 14 yearold girl preparing for a first date >_<.

I love my vaio.

...can you hear the crickets...?

Of course you can't, they're all frozen and can't go 'chirp' anymore... But everyone's Gooooooooooooooooone, gone home to their happy homes... only I remain... alone... in texas... stabbing myself with a needle.... ouch. Well, on second thought, there's no such thing as Thanksgiving in London ^_^ so I guess Flidget, prepare to be rambled at. Can you believe your box still hasn't arrived yet? I think I'm going to call my apartment's office today and see if they just forgot to Tell me that a box arrived. Big loosers. Aaaaaaaaanyway... I'll be around... finishing Looking6 with any luck. Or maybe I'll be playing "JUNGLE!ATTACK" (TM) through my diningroom with the cat. Gotta have fun with all the plants while the frost-warnings continue...

Awwwwwwwwwwwe.........

Today's quote from suikoden 1:

Grimio: You can't really expect us to pretend to be /theives/?
Viktor: Who said anything about 'pretend'? We /are/ theives!

*hugs Viktor* This game may be almost painful to look at, but the dialog get's full points. I think I've figured it out, aside from the bad art in general... it's the color saturation... they rammed the saturation way WAY up so even when I tinker with my screen brightness and such, the game still looks like it was colored by one of those BAD Technicolor jobs of the 50's movie industry. Everytime there's alot of bright green or red on screen my eyes start to water. *Sigh* But I just got my castle. *grin*

Hey Twig, that test says I'm rabies! Appropriate, no? *snicker*

We are pleased to present... Lunar, Engrish-Style.

Happy giving from heaven, cool refreshment like largest glaciers gives you energy to bike many rivers. Enjoy! Drink! Enjoy!

Nemuii...

Flidget, ^_^ if you want you can have the title, I've decided to name myself 'that girl who's plots would even be turned down by Mercedes Lackey, Queen of Magical Menageries... Sometimes I read my drafts, and I think, now this may not be great, but damnit, I enjoyed reading this. And then there are days like today, where I just look at it upside down to see if it's more meaningful in reverse. Maybe it's the fact that I wrote 20 pages straight, maybe it's the prolonged exposure to altitudes over 30,000 feet... maybe.. awe hell, I dunno. Who cares...

The trip was... hmmm fun I guess... seing family is always this touchy thing with me because of stress but this time it was pretty painless... My only commentary on the trip worth mentioning are as follows. (1) those Navy dress uniforms...? THey can make any guy look good, I'm sorry. I'd kill for a nice petty officer... or maybe a navigator... I'll forgive the lack of hair, and hell, the long abscences would only help any relationship I'm in... but they'll have to wear their navy trenchcoat to bed. ^_^ (2)On the plane to maryland... I sat next to Val. Well not /really/ Val, his name was Mike. He was cute and had dark tosseled hair, and laughed at my jokes, and was absolutely adorable in that 'tired and frumpy from being on a plane all day and wouldn't I clean up nice' sort of way. Shame I was too chicken to ask for his phone number... guys like that are always taken anyway. But yes, Val at 25 will look just like Mike.

... Fly like an eagle....

Naturally, on the one day I need to fly, Austin finally rains. Bah, off to the airport I go, as I can't find my spare pare of headphones, writing really /will/ be my only distraction... well that, or reading my finincial portfolio... >_< or sleeping...

I pray for no curious 10yrolds...

FLidget, in a moment of post suikoden2 malaise, I popped in suikoden1... now /this/ one, we can definitely go Eeeeeeeeeeeeeh! as far as the graphics are concerned... They're heinous, ^_^ like zelda 1 bad... but the first five minutes of character interaction had me laughing so hard I cried, so we'll give it a whirl. I played through the 'bad' ending of suikoden2 just to see what I could do with it... I think we'll just work in two parallel universes... I'll write a story for each... the Happy!Hero story of yours... and the Bitter!Hero story of mine... We will give it some pondering... while Twig suffers through it. ^_^

See ya all sunday.

And after

I'm not giving away the ending of Suikoden, so don't ask... however they do give little plot snipets for each of the characters you've adopted throughout the game... in a very Run Lola Run fashion... and according to my qualifications... the true winner of this game is Tai Ho.

Tai Ho is this gangster you pick up early in the game... by gambling, surprisingly enough... his post-game snippet was... "Returned to his life of Ribaldry and moral turpitude." ... I'm not kidding. All I can say is "Way to go Tai!"... Viktor and Flik didn't do so badly either... bravo for them too.

In other news...

cruised by my standard comics today... Adventurers! and RPGworld are as reliable as ever... the others can be relied upon to continue to have their own schedules... 8-bit Theater is still down but he makes up for it by having witty, useful information. Like the following:

in other news, i've played through devil may cry about half a dozen times. DMC is easily the most bad ass action packed game i've played in a long time (i.e. possibly ever). once you figure out all the puzzles and such, there's no reason why you can't play through the whole game in under 3 hours, but the whole thing is so much fun that you'll find yourself glued to the PS2 from the opening cinematic to the ending. and then you'll want to play again the next day. one incentive to keep playing it over and over is that you can unlock more difficult modes of play. personally, i don't care. the sheer fun and style of the game force me to keep coming back. the one complaint i have is that the story/dialogue is horrible. it's funny and cheesy at the beginning, but toward the end it becomes painful to witness because it's sooooo terrible. but you're not playing this game for character development, you're playing it for two-fisted hand gun style, yo!

And I say Amen brother! Pity about the dialog though, I had high hopes it wouldn't be another Castlevania:Symphony of the Night style cock-up... sah, life goes on.

Hey Flidget, tell me where to get that mother earth rune, and I'll give suikoden another go tonight, I know I should be packing, but damn it. I want to see this ending.

Tuesday, November 13, 2001
05:59 p.m.

been a while.. ne?

And Spike says... "hey, I'm a superhero too!" ...sah, pity I missed the first 10 minutes of the show doing laundry, I have no clue what was going on. I blame Willow, she seems a good target for ill-will lately.

I've also been going through my sketchbooks in a pre-update blitz (as some of you may know). I have to admit I had forgotten how much art I had... serves me right for not updating sooner. Ditto for doing laundry... I /really/ ought to do that more often too.

They're already advertising the 2002 model of my car... Britney Spears looks like Petra in her new concert commercial... I have flan in the fridge, and some group named Kenna has a site on MTV but apparently they exist otherwise only in Twig's mind... way to go Twig...

There was something else too.... but I've forgotten...

Put on that old Black Magic...

Bah, another day, another piece of broken code. But who cares about that ^_^; ne Twig, Lilack, good luck on the school thing... I can personally vouch for several members of my family who didn't sell out to the Tech-degree like I did and managed to find plesant employment with their humanities skills... I'm not actually sure if the employment had anything to do with what they graduated in... -_- but it can be done!

This reminds me, Twig, you're right, the conjunction needs to be fixed, that super narrow thing... it's bugging me. I'll look into it over lunch.

Hey Ann, *hug* once you get back from this weekend I'll be sure to have something to cheer you up with... That way you can return the favor when I go see the grandmother in the hospital next weekend :P. Grandparents, a two edged sword... on the one hand, they're cool, on the other, you're obliged to say goodbye. No fun, that bit.

Flidget... all I have to say is *Nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah* ^_^ I finished the Muse plot and took a break from Shu's bossing about to run around and see who would blow me off... and nobody did... picked up 10 new characters in one sweep. All I have to do now is get Sigfried... and the red-haired chickie who babbles about castles... and a few others... damn but I want a blacksmith... and a Window maker! I also almost feel sympathy for Jowy again... he played that 'destiny' card... bah... I hate it when he's right... maybe it'll only be 3 years... So yes, the answer apparently is, "you can play bitter and still get characters... it just takes longer."

And the word for the day is....

Unicombie

No, I shit you not! This word, like 'spoony' is brought to you by the unexpected and often original source of english language... Japanese game translators (points finger at Konami). Truth is always odder than fiction. So yes, /Unicombie/... come on, try and say it without laughing. It's what happens when you take a being of pure Good (unicorn)... and corrupt and kill it in some sort of heinous soul-sucking way (like a never ending marathon of the Brady Bunch). The zombie-like creature still retains a portion of its good looks, but it is, unquestionably, Evil. I spent a good portion of last night letting Viktor smack them around as I played find-the-treasure in the caves...

God I love this game. *hugs Viktor*

...5-Cents, Buffy psychologist is in...

Yes, they kissed, congratulations. Mr. Perfect cheekbones and Miss. Perfect Maybeline Lip Gloss have finally bought a clue, and we can get on with the plot. Next up, a massive Angel/Spike cat fight over who gets to bang the slayer vrs. the Seer. And I'm sorry, short haired Cordy is not my favorite person ^_^. So yes, ladies, don't make me hit you with the hose, because you know I will. And Flidget, I /will/ hit you with a brick... do go find a construction helmet.

...I /KNEW/ Jowy was going to Do that... little... GRRRRRR... when I get my hands on him... he's going into the darkest corner of my prison... the one with the biting rats...

Hey flidget, is it just me or did the translators screw up? All of a sudden I'm noticing people calling my blonde boy "Jowie"... or is that for Namami's benifit? The world may never know. You'd have thought she'd have outgrown baby talk by now... especially since she doesn't have pilika anymore. And I'm grumpy because I mounted an expedition to the beastmaster in the woods with just me and the dog... but he still wouldn't talk... I wonder if I can remove myself from the party ^_^; ... Lassie's Going SOLO! ...Woof!

*hugs her Run Lola Run soundtrack this thing is the bomb.

03:33 p.m.

...Must be low on iron...

Twig, I think I caught your headache... except everything hurts today. Oh wait, it's probably because I was carrying my desk-top machine around at work yesterday and the monitor is frigging heavy (This is, in Lunar's opinion the one, and only important reason she forbids Desktop machines in her house). No, I've decided the headache is not from Suikoden2 withdrawl symptoms, although I do still move unconsciously towards the game system when I get home before telling myself "No! Bad puppy! do something usefull first!"

But tonight Buffy beckons... must... see if Willow... turns evil... ^_^ That would be so cool. But wait, I say... 'I /like/ Willow.' 'ah HA!' the rest of me replies, the better for the script writers to maker her a villian with... use the unexpected characters as the evil nemeses... (nemesi? how /do/ you pluralize that...) Between the recent glut of 'angry' music on the radio, the near personal insult dealt to me by Suikoden's constantly twisty plot, I've found myself laughing manically a wee bit more than usual... I caught myself saying 'Soon, soon it will be /your/ time!' The other morning during the commute to work when some pick-up cut me off. This is probably why I decided to take a breather from the Devil Game.

Fish-chan says Devil May Cry is really sweet but requires a dexterity check of at least 3 or higher on a 1D6... this may prove difficult for me, my Soulreaver skills aren't /that/ cool. Ah well, I'll have it anyway. Oh yes.

Sunday, November 4, 2001
02:17 p.m.

Zombie-Lunar, on a rampage

Suikoden2 is a vindictive soul-stealing little game... but there are so many good parts... *happy sigh* I'll definitely be laying out cash for my own copy soon... *doht* Flidget lies, the art isn't bad... not Square, but then aside from Pixar, who can compete with that? *hugs her 20+ playable characters* wheeee... and I get a castle and everything!

Ok so B-kun insists that the whole Spy-something game isover rated, but even he can't bad mouth Devil's May Cry... (even if it's because he's never heard of it) This game is also being demoed in commercials, although I admit I heard about it over at the Gaming Intelligence Agency a few months ago... and Yes, that IS a silver-haired Bishonen... tasty crispy, that's my vote.

Flidget, this weeks episode of Black Heaven... was really weird... but we have to be reaching the end of the series soon, maybe another 3-4 episodes max. You'll love the show, so save up those pennies ^_^; Oh yeah and they showed 1 episode of a series currently on-air in Japan called 'Hellsing'! It looks remarkably cool, bloody and full of vampirey goodness, but very engrossing! Hopefully I can get another episode next week. (Evil laughter) Tell me if you've heard of this?

Dream interpretation...

No news... like useless news... So it's halloween... I did the costume thing and the giving candy thing... some of my coworkers proved that adults can have just as much fun playing dress up as kids can... My favorite were the pair of Raggedy Ann and Andy... so cute... so silly...

In other news, the apartment complex sent by plumbers to verify/ "adjust" my water heater for it's yearly inspection... The day after... I noticed a small lake forming in the cause-way next to my apartment. This causeway is coincidently right next to the "emergency leakage" pipes... from... the water heater. So I called and bitched. Today I came home... and I could still see it go drip-drip-drip... *sigh* This appartment commplex blows.

And I just saw the Spyhunter commercial... (the new game for PS2)It looks /Fabulous/...

Found It!! Complements of Mr. Emril Lagasse

Sweet Potato Flan with Chocolate Spider's Web

See this recipe on-air on 10/28/2001 at 8:00 PM ET. Recipe courtesy Emeril Lagasse, 2001

For the caramel:
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water

For the flan:
1 large sweet potatoes (about 1 pound), baked until tender then peeled
2 cups half-and-half
6 tablespoons granulated sugar
7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cup water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons maple syrup
5 large eggs
2 egg yolks
Chocolate Spider's Web, recipe follows
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

Prepare the caramel: In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Cook over low heat, without stirring, until the syrup turns a medium amber, painting the sides of the pan with a wet pastry brush as needed, about 5 minutes. Pour into one large (10-cup) souffle dish or round casserole, and tilt to evenly coat the bottom and slightly up the sides. Set aside.

Prepare the custard: In the bowl of a food processor, process the potatoes. With the machine running, add 1 cup of the half-and-half, and process until smooth.

In a large bowl, combine the sugar, the remaining 1-cup of half-and-half, the condensed milk, 2/3 cup of water, the vanilla extract, and maple syrup, and mix well.

In another large bowl, beat the eggs and egg yolks until frothy. Strain the eggs into the wet ingredients and mix well. Add the sweet potato mixture, whisk well, then transfer to the prepared pan. Place the dish in a large baking pan and add enough hot water to come halfway up the sides of the dish. Bake for 2 hours, or until the custard is mostly set but the center is still slightly wobbly. Remove from the oven and transfer to a rack to cool.

Refrigerate until very cold, at least 6 hours, or overnight. To unmold, run a thin knife around the sides of the custard and invert onto a serving dish. Place Chocolate Spider's Web on top of flan, and present at tableside. Cut into wedges and serve as desired.

Chocolate Spider's Web:
1/2 cup semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips

Place a 10-inch square of parchment paper or waxed paper on a baking sheet. With a black marker, draw a spider's web that will fit on top of the Sweet Potato Flan.

Place the chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler, or in a metal bowl set over a pot of simmering water, and melt, stirring until smooth. Furl a piece of parchment or waxed paper to make a tight cone. Transfer the melted chocolate to the cone and cut off the bottom tip. Pipe the chocolate onto the parchment paper, tracing the spider's web.

Place the baking sheet with the design in the refrigerator or freezer until firm.

To serve, gently peel back the paper and transfer the chocolate web to the top of the Sweet Potato Flan.

Yield: 10 to 12 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 2 hours
Difficulty: Medium

You're going to love this...

Hey twig, I don't know if the food network posts Emril's tasties, but it may be worth swinging by. Right after you logged off last night, he did the desert for his Halloween theme show. It was basically a sweet-potato Flan, good enough to die for. It looked bloody hard to me ^_^ but maybe you want to give it a go ^_^. Whee.

Insights, Inquiries, and Alice Cooper on Pay-for-View...

Flidget? This is the sound of a patiently *twitch* waiting Lunar... a Lunar who doesn't whine, or check her mailbox several times a day... A Lunar who isn;t wondering just what condition that Turkish Delight is going to be in after sitting in a mail-truck in the Texas sun... mmmmmm gooey imported nummies... all over the CD.... wait. ^_^

So here's the 'Inquery' portion of this event, who here has watched/read/heard of a little lamentable anime called "BoogiePop Phantom" Or any of it's ilk? We watched the first episode in anime club... and it left me singularly unimpressed. Is there more to this show than the angstful musings of one reclusive obsessive-compulsive clean freak of a highschool-er? I admit, the ghost-killing thing is cool, but unless this show starts hemorraging fast-paced plot... or perhaps a bishonen or two... it's conflicting with my sleep schedule ^_^ I'd love to know if this show will get better however... I dunno if it'll inspire me to stay up for this seemingly Lain inspired foolishness... but we'll see.

On Bravo today, there was this tv special that looked remarkably Cirque de Solei (spelling?) Or at least it had an awesome number of gymnasts doing things that would make a couch potato gape in awe. This only made the figments excitable... Damn them and their atheletic inclinations.

Watch out for that... lizard?

Now... I don't know about you, but where I'm from, lizards do not invade you home with impunity; mice maybe, or a small mole... and depending how adventurous your cat is, maybe a garden-snake one in a blue-moon. But the animals don't usually just /saunter/ in.... uninvited. So you can bet I was a little surprised when I came home the other day, and went to move a towel I had lazily slung over the back of a chair, and a mouse-sized lizard tumbled into my hand. I'm not quite sure who was more surprised.

After several minutes I managed to rassle the fast-little-bugger outside, much to my cat's delight (she was sunning on the patio). And all I can say is... well, at least it wasn't a tarantulla. :P

Twig, You're a genius!

those Chimera thingers... would you say they're hell-a-bad? ....Like... "I can smite anything!" bad...? If so, I think you just found me a plot point. (cue maniacal laughter) God I love this fanfic... "one, two, borrow a few, three, four, give Twig some more..." Why didn't I think of this sooner... *happy sigh*

...KISS...

Goes back to writing.

Monday, October 22, 2001
12:51 p.m.

Actually Twig... I've chucked the Romance idea... I'm replacing the entire scene with the pair of them in little Shriner Hats and driving funny-cars under the BigTop... there'll also be some bears in clown paint... and I'm inventing two new females with shallow, poorly-thought-out backgrounds whom they will marry in a double wedding with theme music by Michael Bolton... Won't that be fun.

*sigh* Just kidding, but don't you wish this was April 1st...?

Sunday, October 21, 2001

So it's done...

So Twig's latest project is done (congratualtions to all involved...) ^_^; But really, I wonder what I'll post there... that I can't post here... You never realize what is loved until it is gone and back again.

*hugs computer* Love you! So anyway... Nothing new here... Go read Neil's blogg for the last few days, they're funny, or odd, or both. I'm a big fan of the chestnuts, "*POW*". But the recent story about the book-selling gimic made me laugh too. And to think I drove 1000 miles and paid 20$ for that book. Silly me.

Oh yeah... Happy Belated B-day Wind-chan... I'd have sent you some art... but Lunar was sucked in the vortex of Vagrant Story again. *doht* I need to get a new game... I need to go to anime club tonight... Ooooh there's an idea... I can draw at anime club!

I have friends in town this weekend... Kiss productivity good bye!

Sad really that the most productive I was, was when Twig-chan came to visit.

12:33 p.m.

When you see a little warning saying "Reinstall OS"... that's bad...Right?

I take back all the egotistical things I said about being a computer god the other day... I was toying with a new partition the other day in the attempt to put some bad-ass Japanese goodness on my work machine... and proceeded to hose my boot sector in a bad, bad way. So I tried runing the 2000 repair options... they scurried forth... found the corrupted files, fixed the files... and the machine still won't boot... I scratched my head. I used the /other/ repair functions... and scratched my head. Finally, swallowing my pride, I called the help-desk. (Yes, I know I /am/ the help desk, I help Customers. They help Me.) They told me it'd take 1-5 days. I went "I'll just reinstall the OS." "Ok by us!" They said. And here I am. Why god... Why....

In other news... yeah, Casper could work...^_^ he's got the smile... and the chin isn't too bad. But Twig darling, we both know you picked him because of the gratuitious Tarzan pictures out there ^_^; I'm so not-a-fangirl... I always scream "put your shirt on," but then, I will happily drool over a nice leather jacket... so I'm just as on crack as everyone else. I've simply got to stop playing with MS Paint... it only leads to trouble...

Hey Twig, never mind about the whole Henry Rollins thing... :P He may have looked ok in that TV interview, but I can't find anything on the web that will remotely suit the job... He's... got an ox-neck.... how unappealing ^_^; and no, the smile isn't right either... I'll have to look elsewhere for the dopplar. Cool tatoo though, a pity.

Did I tell you last night that the conjunction thingy looked hell-a-cool? I can't remember, but if I didn't, now I have. Wheeee.

Irate and Loving it!

Well no I'm not actually angry... but I am hi-energy today (probably having to do with the glutinous sleeping-in that I did this morning) so If I Was angry... you could bet I'd be kicking ass and taking names. As it is... I'll take the names... and if you're nice... I'll make cookies. Ok, maybe not, although I do have a bajillion bills to mail out, and a care package for the Michiganites. *wink*wink* No, it isn't tarantullas.

Flidget, I'm glad to know my Black Heaven ranting hasn't fallen on deaf ears... and yes, if you were state-side (and if I had a dvd player) I would be challenging you to a battle royalle for that disc. As it is, I'll just sit here and whimper. And who is this "Blathering" girl you've linked to? And does she really live in Richardson? That's not too far really... 3 hours on the outside... how terrifying. ^_^ Bouncy bouncy bouncy!

Hey Twig-chan, find me tonight and I swear I will beat your blogger woes into submission with my giant-oversized-super-powerful... tech degree. Well wait. ^_^ Seriously, this can't be /that/ bad, we're probably just overlooking something, I say, send me what you have in a text file, I'll edit it and send it back ^_^ Or you can dare to let me impersonate you for 10 minutes and then change the password quick-like-a-rabid-bunny. It's a gorgeous layout, I'm almost tempted to write miss Lilack a note saying so, but then she might feel like I'm fishing... which I'm not. Really... I /like/ my lame-ass never-changing format.... -_-; It's easy to edit. Maybe I'll draw a new pic for christmas... peer pressure is a horrible thing ^_^;.

Thankyouuuuuuuuu Fish-chan!

Lather, Rinse, Reboot.

Today has been a day for random checking in on places that I haven't gone to in a while... some friends, some friends of friends, my tarot reading, and the ever present list of quizes and such that litter the net in happy-go-lucky uselessness. Yes, today is a useless day. That reminds me, I should call B-kun and have him scrouge me some software so that tomorrow can be better. Not that today isn't busy! Because it is... but if I'm writing this, it means that I have time to goof a tad, between phone calls.

And I get to meet my "big boss" later today and discuss whether or not I'm elite enough to switch to s speciality product for a bit... just to see if I like it. My big boss looks like a 16 yearold.. a cheerful soccer-playing 16 yearold. He is so cool.

So I finally sat down and caught up on the comics, and cruised by Lilack, and Ragabash, and thus was engrosed in the quizes she's discovered over at www.emode.com. I'm such a quiz junky... So the results of the day are:

Lunar's tarot: Sucess will crush your soul into tasty paste!
Lunar's Deadily Sin: Greed (big surprise!)
Lunar's Evil Rating: "Kinda" (awe, and I tried really hard...)
Lunar's Astrological Match: Aquarius? Do I know anyone who's an aquarius? doht.
Lunar's Likeliness to Be a Millionare: Only if you ditch your friends and date a supermodel. (Oh... /rats/... ^_^)
Lunar's Gone Crazy?: I'm nuts, but only on alternate Wednesdays...
Lunar's Emotional Age: "Mature but possibly distant" So I guess I can't win for losing. If I'm not throwing spitballs, I must be unfriendly. -_-

Enough with the quizes... besides, talking to my cat doesn't make me crazy... it just implies she and I have an understanding that trancends language.. right? /Right/?!

And I say... Spoony...

You ever have one of those days when you're half way through a /really/ funny blogg... ans some how your pathetic touch typing skills let you type Alt-F-x without you noticing and your little entry goes PIFF and you cry like a girl...?

What, Never?

Well shit, I guess it's just me. Baka-girl... to the rescue.

Wai, hey Twiggums, I feel like a bad puppy because I didn't read your blogg untill last night and there you were feeling crummy and I was just blathering along like my usual idiot self. Gomen, but I know just the thing to distract you so I've been working hard ^_^; I'll find you later. Ne, Ann, so you're saying if I keep watching Fruit Baskets... I'll meet all of the zodiac animals? That could be keen, I'm adoring the way they draw the cat... it reminds me of kitty-chan! ... And just /why/ was she living in that tent again? and was that a landslide? and /who/ are those piranna girls at school? They scare me.^_^

As part of the general strangeness of this weekend, only the threat of violent hail could (and did) motivate me to get over my lilly-liveredness and attempt to put my car in the garrage. Shockingly, (well no not really) it fits just fine. It turned out that there wasn't much hail, but the wind-damage alone around here made me glad I took precautions with my plants etc. I even made sure to tie down my twinkle lights so the wouldn't get banged about ^_^; Yesterday I finally inflicted the end of Gormenghast on B-kun, who retaliated by telling me that he had a dream about me forcing him on threat of friendship to help me buy painting-kits at Home Depo to redo the inside of my garrage. It wasn't until he told me about the part where my cat mysteriously walked through a solid door and told him "Excuse me, I need to get something from under the sink" that I decided he /really/ needs to get out more. So now I'm apparently going to go to a concert featuring the "Thrill Kill Cult" next week... Almost makes me wish I had bought that 20$ leather jacket I saw the other day... Ah well I'll break out the goth-look and shake my bootie to the sounds of satan.

On that note, does anybody have some good John Sykes mp3s? The bamy bastard is apparently too "old" or ecclectic to be readily available through any of the non-napster channels, and I'm not sure if I want to go retro enought to buy a whole album to judge the merits of an 80's guitar god.

Hot damn, weather in Michigan is sucking this weekend, hmm? At least it all cleared up down here.

Allo Allo...

Hey Twiggums, who is Mobification ^_^ they sound sane, we like sane... I could use some company when you're all 'woohooing' and being generally goofy... Wait. I'm usually going 'woohoo' too... /sigh/. I also have the dubious privilage of saying I have no idea what "Read or Die" is... and I still haven't seen Ico. Hurray! I really need to find a non-sucky blockbuster... then steal a PS2 erm, I mean "buy" /buy/ a PS2. ^_^

Anyway, I've been working LONG hours, but I made it home for Buffy, but Spike didn't have any new 'Spike-isms' to inspire me with so I didn't write at all, instead I feasted on beta fun, and book 4 of the HP series. Amazing how fast I can read that stuff ^_^ *sigh* atleast it's not in japanese.

I think I'm getting eyestrain again, I'll try and go home and take a nap, that always helps.
